Budapest: a city of gorgeous architecture, endless monuments and those thermal baths. It’s not an exaggeration to say that I left a piece of my heart in the city, and I am so incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to spend 48 glorious hours in the city exploring. While I think you could easily spend a full week in Budapest since there are so many hidden gems, we only had a limited amount of time so we had to make the most of it, and while there were a few things that we didn’t get to, I’m pretty happy with what I was able to achieve in such a short amount of time.
So, you’re coming to Central Australia to explore the Red Centre. You know that you are definitely going to see Uluru, but you’re not sure about what else there is to do. That’s okay, because I’ve grown up in Alice Springs and I can point you towards some of the best things to do in this region.
Litchfield National Park features a number of waterfalls where you can swim, as well as a range of bushwalking tracks, camp grounds and other geographical features. It should definitely be on your Northern Territory bucket list.

Earlier this year I was blessed with the opportunity to travel to Egypt for 2 weeks. While there I went hot air ballooning, and what started as a magical experience quickly turned deadly.
I went on a cruise when I was half way through my teaching degree. For me it was a bit of a celebration that I was half way there, and while I had a good time there were a number of things that I discovered that I’ve always thought would be useful information for people out there new to cruising.
Egypt has always seemed so unattainable to me since it is marketed in Western media as being really unsafe. However, after reading a post by one of my favourite travel bloggers, it was all the justification I needed. I booked myself onto a Top Deck tour and set off to my dream location.
Here are the top bucket-list experiences I had while I was in Egypt in January earlier this year.
I can honestly say that New Zealand is absolutely the bucket list capital of the world! It has everything there. It doesn’t matter whether or not you are an adrenaline junkie or if you just want to step out of your comfort zone, New Zealand is definitely the the place to do it.
I’m sure I’ll write a longer blog post on Port Arthur at some stage detailing our two day adventure through the ruins and our ghost tour of the most haunted sites on the preserve, but for now these photos will have to do.
